About Cory

Cory has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Guelph, a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Victoria, and a clinical Master of Social Work degree from the University of Waterloo.

He prides himself on helping individuals find motivation and the tools to work toward meaningful change. From 15 years of working within the field of mental health and addictions he has witnessed that it is sometimes easy to get stuck in patterns of unhelpful thinking and behavior.

Cory utilizes different modalities and takes a holistic approach to breaking old routines while creating healthy new ones. From a trauma informed lens, Cory works together with each individual to tailor a treatment with the goal of making change a reality. Main modalities Cory utilizes: Motivational Interviewing, Structured Relapse Prevention, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Strengths Based Approach.

Cory is a big fan of basketball, cycling, running, traveling, 90’s music, and anything outdoors that is summer related. Winter… not so much! Cory is able to see individuals who reside in Ontario and Nova Scotia.
